How to study without facebook and MSN.

By Paula

Have you ever found yourself trying to study in front of the computer? We have been there, with that annoying sound of MSN, telling us that someone is trying to chat with us. Up to a certain point, it's almost unavoidable to open that window and answer them. What can we say about Facebook? At the same time, Facebook notifications are trying to warn us: someone has uploaded a picture of us! ... OMG, PLEASE LET ME STUDY! And we blame technology because of our bad marks... Well, now that you're reading, it seems to be very funny, but it's true. A lot of us spend a huge part of our time in front of the screen. Now, what can we do? It's very simple. First of all, turn off the computer. If you really want to study without any distractions, you must get away from them. If you REALLY have to look for information, or maybe to ask someone about classes, well, do it, but THEN you turn off the computer. If you think (HONESTLY) that you're not going to open these programs again, there would be no problem in keeping your computer on (I mean, talking about distractions, because if you're not using the computer, you should turn it off. It spends a lot of innecesary energy, and we have to do anything we can to save it.)

Summer Days.

By Carlos.
Hi there, I'm going to tell you about my last holidays. In summer I visited Lican Ray with my family and we stayed there for a week. Lican Ray is near to Villarrica and Pucon. There is a big lake called "Calafquen" next to the city. I really like this place because there are many things you can do, like sailing a "Kayak", visiting a lot of "Craft Fairs", you can ride a horse or jump in a "Canopy", even you can go to shows in the central square to listen to live music. I like this city very much, it's the perfect place to visit in your holidays.

The house, where we stayed, was big and had a lot of rooms, and a big backyard where you can do a barbacue or play. The house was next to the downtown and the lake was near to the house. I went to the lake everyday, and I visited near cities like Pucon or Villarrica. In the night I went to fairs to buy some souvenirs or natural juices. There was only one problem. When I returned to my home after finishing my holidays, I discovered that something was missing, I lost one of my socks.

See You.

My Last Holidays

By Paula.

In July of this year, I spent the greatest vacations of my life. My mom, my sister an me went to Cuba, the Central America big island. We were there for almost ten days.
The first day we arrived to La Habana. There was a very tropical weather, and it was very difficult for us to get used to it. We stayed with a very nice woman, that we called aunt Nancy. My mom met her when she travelled to Cuba for the first time (yes, she had been there before twice).
I can say that what I liked the most was, definitely, the people. They are very kind and warm persons. One of them told me that cuban people are like dolphins; they might be submerged in water up to their necks, but they still smile. I think it's true, because they have lived very difficult situations, but you don't see that in their faces. Nevertheless, if you pay some attention, you can see it through their eyes.
One of the greatest places that we visited was Varadero's Beach. It was such a beautiful place! I remember that, when I was in the water, I thought: 'I can't believe I'm here, and I can't believe either that we are leaving in a few days. I wish I could stay here, this is so wonderful!'
We met some wonderful persons; Ernesto, who took us to very nice places; Yoao, who was a very wise person. He taught us a lot of things about cuban culture; Mister Rolando, who was very sweet with us. He cooked a lot of delicious stuff for us (: AND SO MANY OTHERS THAT MADE OUR VISIT PERFECT!
It was very sad for everyone, but we had to come back to Chile. I hope I will see them again soon!
Well, that was it. I hope you liked it, and thank you for reading (:
